Fish Lake Trail Oct. 11. Walked from the Scribner trail head to Queen Lucas Lake and then back the other way, toward Marshall as there was a train across the road. I don't know where Queen Lucas Lake got its name and didn't know it existed until I walked this end for the first time. It is a pretty good size lake, especially when it rains for a while. Not much bird or wildlife activity today but another walker and her dog and a bicyclist came through. Please note that Fish Lake Trail does not go through to Fish Lake but comes to a dead end against a fence before it reaches, like 3/4 of a mile short. If you want to continue on to Fish Lake you have to go up to Cheney-Spokane Road at the Scribner Trail head and continue on that way. The Scribner trail head to the fence is about 1 1/2 miles or so, so a 3 mile easy paved walk.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.
