So many people and their children, both 2 and 4 footed, out enjoying the sunshine! Always a nice walk-about in this area!
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.

Idaho Farragut Park and Brig Museum 6/23/2018
Took a trip to Farragut Park near Bayview Idaho Yesterday. I had heard about it for years, even been to Bayview a few times, but had never gone on the grounds. It was HUGE! The park had originally been an Army training camp for WWP. All that is left of the original building is the "Brig" which has been made into a really interesting an informative museum. We walked one of the trails that took us down to the river and explored the museum. At one of the campgrounds people were "Ziplining" and there was a really large elaborate obstacle course set up. There is a big Disc Golf course as well. There is a really nice boat launch and docks. Really worth the drive if you like camping, exploring new trails or other great outdoor activities. And do take the time to go into the museum. There is a $5 charge to go into the park but the museum, boat launch and disc golf course are free to use. We didn't ask what the charge for camping is so you'd need to check on that.

Downtown Spokane & Riverfront Park on Centennial Trail 6/19
What a beautiful day for a walk! Not to hot, sun shining. Lots of people out and about enjoying the sights and sounds of the park. The Carousel is up and running with kids enjoying their first rides, people were rollerskating and using scooters on the rink. There was even a man fishing off the steps behind the Opera House.

Centennial Trail Spokane River Maringo Trailhead 6/12
This is always a gorgeous walk. The trail runs beside and then across the river on the Denny Ashlock bridge. People attach padlocks to the fencing in the bridge like they do to the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris. The river was down quite a bit since the last time I went this way. Was able to go out onto the marshy area. Lots of birds, sunshine and green. Wonderful time of year. The building seen in the last photo is the Riblet Mansion that sits atop a hill to the north of the trail and can be seen for the entirety of this stretch.
