1st on the snow on the Columbia Plateau Trail, Fish Lake trail head

It is always thrilling to be the first being to make tracks on a fresh layer of snow. I got that honor this morning on the Columbia Plateau trail going out of the Fish Lake trail head. Heck, I didn't see any other tracks until about a mile in and then the quail had been there before me. The sun was shining, the snow glistening the streams along the trail gurgling away. The resident Kingfisher was singin his pretty song and even posed for a picture. Ducks were taking advantage of the moving water.  I met a cross country skier as I was headed back and another walker was out stretching their leg on the newly fallen snow. BEAUTIFUL DAY to go walking

  1. 2nd on the Snow on the Columbia Plateau BRAVO and EXCELSIOR! Winter Wonder Land and Bird Photos! I X-C Ski, Hike, Bird Watch and Bike this Trail. These two Photo Shoots of Fish Lake Trail tell a Beautiful and Interesting story of the Trail in the Snow. I love the Frozen Waterfalls on the sides of the trail where two streams are on both sides. The railroad many years ago cut a path and formed cliffs often on both sides Marvelous! BRAVO to the Photographer she has captured its Wintery Beauty.
