I have always loved walking in the Audubon Park, Northwest Blvd. area. The homes are older and really quaint, the park is a really special one with all the old trees and the old field stone bathroom building and rebuilt field stone fireplace. Going down NW Blvd you some out on the ridge overlooking the Spokane River. The trail along the edge allows for a good view. You can also go down the trails to the bottom of the hill and go along Aubrey white Parkway if you want a longer adventure. The Spokane waste water treatment plant sits just below the ridge and I think it has to be one of the most scenic settings for that type of thing that exists.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.

Basset Hound Dog Rescue Holiday Event Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds 11/26/17
Dropped in on the 2017 Basset Hound Rescue Holiday Event in my meanderings today. What a fun event for dogs, puppies, Dog Parents, some kitties and even a Ferret. Great Dane, Beagle, Chihuahua, Pitbull, Dachshund and many other rescues came.
Such wonderful costumes, many Christmas themed. They had raffles, vendors and all different kind of dog breed rescues with booths.

29th to Lincoln Park, Perry to Rockwood Spokane,wa 11/22/17
I really like the loop down off of 29th at Southeast Blvd. Usually I just go down Southeast off of 29th to Perry and up Perry to the stairs onto Rockwood and back over to Southeast. I decided to go through Lincoln Park off of Southeast and then through the park down to 17th and across to Perry. Historic old homes, beuatiful scenery, lots of flora and fauna to enjoy. Either way you go this is a super challenging 3 miles, alot of very steep inclines and then the Perry stairs are long and steep. Super nice workout for your butt for sure!
