James T Slavin Conservation area in fall

Felt good to have my feet back under me after a long layoff because of the broken ankle. Slavin did not let me down, there was a lot going on. The lake was just full of Pelicans, ducks, Herrons etc. The Pelicans are always exciting to see! A big mass of very white, large birds always catches your eye. There were folks walkin their 4 footed kids and a man had brought his horse in a trailer to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Fall in Spokane & the 5th st Farmers market

Went walking along the river on the Centennial Trail through Riverfront Park. I have never seen the river more reflective, it was like a mirror. There were a lot of folks out enjoying the gorgeous early fall weather. Many wore masks, some didn't. A street musician on a bongo type drum added some music in the background. We went to the 5th and Browne Farmers Market and met some really nice folks from K2 Greens, they are offering Microgreens and kits for growing your own, you'll have to check out their website, www.k2greens.com

Wallace, Idaho

I'm finally able to walk around much better. It is so nice having my feet back under me! We took a trip over 4th of July Pass to Osborn, Idaho and then swung over to Wallace and then stopped at Cataldo. The Sunshine Mine buildings are really interesting to shoot as was Wallace. We didn't walk around the mission compounbd at Cataldo but got a nice shot of it from across and of the Coeur d'alene River.

Happy Moose day!

I am still hindered from walking by my broken ankle, a few weeks away from being able to walk without assistance of a walker. Hopefully really soon I can get out and enjoy the feeling of having both feet under me, flying down the paths and trails. Today we took a drive around the Turnbull motor route. Good day as we had the enjoyment of watching a cow moose munching close enough to the road that we were able to get some good shots of her. Such gorgeous creatures! There were a couple of swans out and about. The goldenrod was about gone by but there was a pretty patch left.

Manito Park in summer

I'm sorry its been a while sence I have made a post. 5 weeks ago I had a freak accident and wiped my ankle out. My ankle now has more hardware, plates, screws etc, than ankle. I am healing but can't put any weight on it at all for eight weeks. Over half way there but it has put a crimp into my walking. My husband nicely offered to push me around Manito park so I could get some shots of the gorgeous sights of Manito Park before all the flowers were gone. There was a huge amount of people out enjoying the gorgeous summer that is 2020.
