Went to enjoy the sights and sound of a small town fair in Rockford today. It did't disappoint! Folks were having a wonderful time riding the rides, eating good fair food and just enjoying the community coming together. Animals, handiwork, veggies and vendors were all there. This was definitely a 4 footed child friendly affair with many dogs in attendance.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.

Columbia Plateau Trail Amber Lake trail head
Went walkin the Columbia Plateau Trail off the Amber Lake Trailhead. Really neat to see the more arid and rocky landscape. Has the look of the Southwest to it. Not a lot of wildlife goin on right now, although we did surprise a few dear who spronged off. A Praying Mantis landed on some dry grass that was exactly the same color as he was. There were some really interesting plants.

Please see the post just before this one to see all the bull riders in action. What a super fun event put on by MBR (Mechanical Bull Riders, LLC) at the Harvester Restaurant in Spangle, Washington! Jam packed with the excitement of watching folks pit themselves against the mechanical bull, neighbors and new comers alike enjoying each others company, good food and drink, a beautiful rendition of the national anthem was song, just a great time.
