Sprague is one of those little farming communities that still look an awful lot like they did back in the day they were busy thriving places. The downtown holds interesting buildings from its past. You can see the lake from I90, the freeway that caused the death of many of these little towns. It is a long narrow body of water that sits among the volcanic looking rocky landscape of central Washington. I went walking from the public boat launch and park that sits on the southwest end of the lake. The area doesn't offer a lot of mileage but you can get a lot of up and down, over the rocks and hills and can see the lake from most of it.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.
