Went walking down the Columbia Plateau Trail From the Fish Lake trailhead. This is either the beginning or the end of the trail, depending how you look at it. It was unseasonably warm and beautifully sunny. People were out on the lake in kayaks, one was swimming across the lake with a float attached to them and fishing along the shores. Runners, a rollerblader and bicyclists were out. The streams along the edge of the trail were teaming with Waterskippers and ,as you will see from the one photo, an unexpected photo bomber under the water. I think it was a young crawdad. The wild flowers are really starting to come out and the birds are providing the background music. Beautiful any time of the year this stretch of the trail is especially fun in the spring as you never know what you'll run into as things start coming out from their winter hibernation.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.
