Walked the srtetch of the Columbia Plateau Trail that passes along the northern most end of th Turnbull National Wildlife Preserve. The Canadian Geese were promenading with their babies, the Ruddy Duck Male was gorgeous with his blue bill and very intent on keeping all the other suitors away from his girl. The little Coot with its black feathers and white bill was out. The swallows were swarming around the bridge as I came back, unhappy that I was getting close to their nests under the bridge. A couple of Elk made a dash with another hiding behind the tree's until I had passed by. Spring is a wonderful time along the trail.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.
