The path was really treacherous, compact now, ice and water. Hard goin, you probably wouldn't want to travel to far on a bike for sure! A couple of other intrepid travelers were enjoying that although sloppy it was warmer.
Enjoying the paths, trails, roads and by-ways of the Inland Northwest by foot. Sharing where I've been through pictures and text so you can explore them yourself walking, jogging, bicycling or under whatever foot powered means you enjoy.

Day after Christmas Columbia Plateau Trail Cheney-Spangle Trailhead
It was cold and snow on the ground but downright GORGEOUS! The ice fairies had been having a field day with all the waterfalls that are along the one side of the trail on this stretch! The water in the side channels is getting close to coming over onto the path already, so watch for wet areas.

Christmas Eve 2017 Centennial Trail milepost 16 Paddle Board
The mist was rising off the river and the sun was getting low as I headed out for my Christmas Eve trek down the Centennial trail from the parking lot off of Upriver Drive at milepost 16. I complained to myself of how cold it was headed both directions. As I got back to the parking lot and headed for the car I noticed a paddle board sitting next to a car that hadn't been there when I headed off. I waited for the occupant to get out and asked if they were going to put it in the water and they said YES. It was about 20 degrees. I asked if it was OK for me to take some pictures and they said sure. The resident ducks were happy to see him as he had a bag of popcorn for them. They had been upset with me a few minuted earlier because I didn't have anything.

Centennial Trail, Downtown Spokane
People were out enjoying the trail on Wednesday. Some funny birds that I still don't know what they are really like the big orange ball and line just above the dam above Canada Island.
