Columbia Plateau Trail, Turnbull trailhead cheney-Paza & a Donkey

Frosty day on the trail. Always wonderful things to see and enjoy in all weather. The Donkeys were on a farm before I got to the trail.

Tubbs Hill, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

I had always heard about this place but never walked it. I did yesterday and I see why they love it. The path goes all the way around natural outcropping right along the edge of the lake. Alot of people with dogs where out and about enjoying the sunshine. I started from the Saunders Beach Parking lot as there is plenty of free parking. I would say right around 3 miles round trip or so.

Manito Park Christmas

Manito Park is another of my favorite parks to walk through. I park up off of 29th somewhere, walk down Grand to 14th and then head back and through the park. I took time yesterday to go through the greenhouse to take in the Christmas decorations. A quick zigzag over to Bernard and then up Manito Blvd back to 29th.

Idaho Centennial Trail Beebe Rd, Coeur d'alene

I was looking for where the trail comes down to the river back closer to Post Falls and ended up all the way down to just off Beebe Road just off NW Blvd in Coeur d'alene.  I parked in a good lot there and traveled west along the river back toward post falls on the trail, then turned back because I had run out of time looking. When coming back to where I parked I traveled along the boardwalk that goes along the river at the Bellerive development down to the end and then back to the car. The path continues along the river into Coeur d'alene and I will have to do that next time. I had hoped that the trail would run along the river out of Post Falls but it looks like it mostly runs along the Freeway.

Audubon Park, Spokane 11/30/2017

I have always loved walking in the Audubon Park, Northwest Blvd. area. The homes are older and really quaint, the park is a really special one with all the old trees and the old field stone bathroom building and rebuilt field stone fireplace. Going down NW Blvd you some out on the ridge overlooking the Spokane River. The trail along the edge allows for a good view. You can also go down the trails to the bottom of the hill and go along Aubrey white Parkway if you want a longer adventure. The Spokane waste water treatment plant sits just below the ridge and I think it has to be one of the most scenic settings for that type of thing that exists.

Basset Hound Dog Rescue Holiday Event Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds 11/26/17

Dropped in on the 2017 Basset Hound Rescue Holiday Event in my meanderings today. What a fun event for dogs, puppies, Dog Parents, some kitties and even a Ferret. Great Dane, Beagle, Chihuahua, Pitbull, Dachshund  and many other rescues came.

Such wonderful costumes, many Christmas themed. They had raffles, vendors and all different kind of dog breed rescues with booths.

Burn Works fire spinning

I had read about the Burn Works crew in an article and just had to see them in action myself.
