Mystic Falls, Palisades Park/Indian Canyon
The hike down into the area beneath the falls is steep but well worth the climb! The walk along the stream coming off the falls is dark and quiet. Really great for that moment of zen everyone is in need of now. The sounds of the crashing falls, birds and just the forest add to the quiet that come over you when you are here. Today a lot of peace seekers and their 4 footed children made the treck down. Riley and Benson were loving on anyone who took a moment. Rudy was game to climb up into the cavern in the rocks beside the falls. Ashe and Aubrey were trotting along the path protecting their mom from any strangers that got in the way of their walk. Mystic Falls is to the west of Indian Canyon Golf course and the the Southeast of Palisades Park.

Baby pigs, smile for the day!
We went and met some really wonderful baby pigs the other day. Thought we'd like to add some to the farm. We would really love to have some, just don't have a good place for them to be, yet. Here are some pictures, they'll melt your heart and make you smile.

Riverside Park on a sunny late February day
Went walking on the west side of the river off the Equestrian Road in Riverside Park yesterday. Lots of people out enjoying the very early spring weather. Ran into Dr Roth and his assistant taking photographs of the Bowl and Pitcher with his old school camera. He was using glass slides in a very old camera. The river was running high and hard.

Mystic Falls Palisades Park/Indian Canyon in winter
We went looking for the Mystic Falls in the Palisades Park/Indian Canyon are that I had heard about. The times before that I had looked for them had been summer and it being a seasonal waterfall was dry. This time it didn't disappoint. We heard it before we came to it, crashing down into a shallow stream from above. You are able t get right down to it and then see it from up on top. Really worth the short hike down into the canyon. You can park on top near Palisades Park and hike down or park along Indian Canyon Rd and come in that way. There isn't much parking along Indian Canyons.

Kendall Yards Bulldogs
Went walking on the Centennial Trail through Kendall Yards today. The sunshine was glorious and so many folks were out enjoying the day with their 4 footed babies. Ran into the most wonderful Bulldog boys, Hamilton and Cooper in the park. The water under the Monroe Street bridge was really crashing down over the falls. The rabbit sculpture in the center of the shopping area is very well done.
